Toddler Praise and PlayTime
We meet every Thursday between 10:30 – 12 noon, welcoming parents, grandparents and carer, babes and all pre-school children. We also welcome older brothers and sisters at the appropriate term time breaks.
The doors open at 10:15 so that the children can do jigsaws, look and books or draw. We then have a short little service of worship including a story and some praise songs. Afterwards we get out the carpets and toys big and small. The hall is large and gives plenty of room for the bigger toys, where the children learn to share and play together or simply play of their own, if they wish. This time together gives the adults a chance to get to know each other, especially if they have recently moved into the area.
A recent development of ours is using a system called Godly Play. This really means using play in a certain way to help learn about the world around us, how this relates to stories in the Bible, and guiding the way we treat each other, fairly and justly.
